This is the second book in the trilogy Ally Condie.
I read the first book in French to its release and I had loved but later was obviously not yet available. Wanting to know what happened I decided to return to 0 and English before discovering the second volume. And if the first I liked as much as the first time, this second volume, although good, did not know me as “vibrate”.
Because he is no mistake, the story of Ally Condie being a trilogy, the contents of volumes is quite expected: the first was the discovery of utopia and defects and thus awakening the critically Cassia, the third will give us the outcome of the story … and logically, the second is the transition. So inevitably, even if Ally Condie introduced many interesting things (including one learns more about the rebellion and this time the story is told from the point of view of Ky) I mostly had a pending print mingled with no frustration.
So, I have not much enjoyed reading the story, besides what is going on I was not particularly surprised. Ky is equal to itself, Cassia too, even if they evolve and mature, despite his physical absence, Xander is still omnipresent, making us understand that its role is far from over … but without does not bring much.
In short, a good book, taking enough, but not great either … I hope the third will rekindle my interest and eventually the story as it should!
