It’s my favorite book from childhood: it is far more profound than the cartoon we all know.
In the Jungle Book, feelings are strong: we hunt, we suffer, often with the animal’s vision – or wolf-child – the new hero.
The moral is this – defense of utopianism in the history of seal Kotik, loyalty in Rikki-Tikki-Tavi …
Rudyard Kipling perfectly restores the moisture and the rich smells of the jungle, the personalities of the characters are all fair and endearing.
I now read at night to my kids 7 years. Their vocabulary is sometimes difficult to understand, but the deeper meaning is there and passionate.
